FUNCTION DESCRIPTION:
Independently plans and executes technical work programs associated with projects. May lead straightforward technical project under supervision. Has a detailed understanding in a specific technical area and is able to apply his knowledge effectively. Works closely with a team of other technical staff and is expected to have contact with operational, commercial and regulatory colleagues. Normally Reports to a senior Chemist, Applications Manager or Technical Manager.
RELATIONSHIPS: Responsible to: Senior Chemist Direct Reports: N/A
KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES: Pro-actively identify, report on and improve safety related issues in the local laboratory area using available tools and systems. – Plan and execute project work in support of the R&D program to develop products, applications and knowledge. – Liaise with internal and external contacts as necessary to track and communicate project status. – Advise, organise and attend scale-up of development products at the pilot or production scale as required. – Develop and maintain awareness in relevant technical fields. – Provide technical support to operations, technical service and regulatory as required

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE:
Relevant technical degree or PhD Graduate
