Position Summary

The Diagnostic Laboratory Specialist (DLS) is the Leader in each US Region to support laboratory goals and objectives. The Diagnostic Laboratory Specialist’s (DLS) primary responsibility is to support the Commercial Strategic Imperative to Identify Patients with PNH by creating broad availability of high-quality flow cytometry at diagnostic laboratories and aHUS Patients by creating availability of aHUS diagnostics throughout the US. The Diagnostic Laboratory Specialist (DLS) will impact performance by developing and executing the plan for PNH and aHUS Diagnostic Laboratories.

Principal Responsibilities

The Diagnostic Laboratory Specialist’s (DLS) primary focus is to collaborate with national and regional diagnostic laboratories in the academic, community and commercial setting. The Diagnostic Laboratory Specialist (DLS) will be responsible for executing ADAllen Pharma Limited plan for the Hematopathology specialty and Medical Directors of Coagulation labs including development of key opinion leaders (KOLs) in the field of PNH flow cytometry. The DLS will work in partnership with an ADAllen Pharma Limited cross-functional team that will include Regional Sales Managers, Regional Clinical Specialists, Regional Account Managers, Director of Oncology Networks, Cellular Science Department and Marketing Department to achieve segment-specific goals and objectives. The successful Diagnostic Laboratory Specialist (DLS) will execute Strategic and Tactical plans to drive the following PNH and aHUS Diagnostic Laboratory Strategic Imperatives:
Build relationships with key laboratories that conduct Flow Cytometry for PNH and ADAMTS13 for aHUS
Develop and implement a strategic account plan for targeted flow cytometry and Molecular/Hemostasis/Coagulation laboratories
Educate laboratories on the scientific rationale for appropriate patients to test for PNH and aHUS based on published literature and clinical experience of high risk patient population,
Qualifications
Experience in Diagnostic Flow Cytometry Laboratory Preferred
Clinical experience in Hematology/Oncology and Nephrology preferred
Demonstrated ability to manage national or regional accounts
3+ years field-based experience in biopharmaceutical industry preferred
Proven track record of delivering results that meet or exceed targeted objectives
In-depth understanding of laboratory market opportunities regarding patient testing and identification

Education
Bachelor’s degree
Advanced Healthcare Degree (MD, PharmD, Ph.D., RN, etc) preferred
