Full-Time ICT Infrastructure Architect

ICT Architect will be in charge of
• designing IT architecture, in order to insure appropriate availability and performance levels are reached, and according to industry best practices;
• defining guidelines for applications and systems architecture;
• deploying and managing monitoring tools for applications and systems and defining and publishing KPIs;
• providing support to the Application teams, both for new projects and day-by-day application maintenance
Moreover, she/he is responsible of insuring that the ICT architecture is compliant with the security guidelines defined by the ICT Compliance and Security function.
Main Objectives
ICT Architect’s activities will pursue the achievement of the following goals:
• ICT Architecture coherence;
• applications availability and performance;
• internal customer satisfaction (where customer means other groups in ICT to which the Architecture group is providing support, as well as business users to which it provides services).
Candidate Profile
Experience
The ideal candidate should have at least three years of experience in designing, delivering and managing complex IT architectures.
Also, the candidate should have at least two years of experience in a comparable position.
Experience in the design and management of infrastructures supporting Computer Aided Design and Engineering ICT architectures is mandatory.
Experience in managing a complex CAD environment, involving:
• managing CAD workstations ;
• designing solutions for remote visualization and collaboration;
• supporting Digital Mock Up environments
will be an advantage.
Skills
The candidate should possess sound knowledge of relevant ICT technologies and best practices, including but not limited to:
• Complex Unix/Linux-based as well as Microsoft-based architectures
• Database management, monitoring, tuning (Oracle and MS SQL mainly)
• Multi-layer application architectures
• Complex Local, Wide and Storage Area Network architectures
• Virtualization, including storage and virtual environment management tools
• System and performance monitoring tools, capacity planning
• Complex web architectures, delivering 7×24 services worldwide
• Application performance measuring and monitoring, stress testing
• Service Oriented Architectures
• LDAP and Identity Management
• Backup tools and architectures
• Business Continuity architectures
• ICT best practices, methods and standards (ITIL certification a plus)
